Nintendo's Winter Warm-Up Sale Offers 30 Percent Off On Action Games

It's likely that gamers play even more during the cold winter months, so Nintendo has a deal for those who prefer staying in and spending quality time with their Wii U consoles and Nintendo 3DS handheld units.

The Nintendo eShop Winter Warm-Up Sale now offers 30 percent off action games, including popular titles such as Injustice: Gods Among Us, Race the Sun and Ninja Gaiden for the Wii U and Lord of Magna: Maiden Heaven, Star Fox 64 3D and Retro City Rampage: DX for the 3DS.

The Nintendo sale is a good chance for players looking to buy and play games they haven't tried yet, as well as giving players the opportunity to replay older favorites.

The Winter Warm-Up Sale lasts for three weeks, ending on Jan. 21. The sale features a new genre every week, with this week's focus on action games. Here's a list of some of the games included in this week's sale:

The Nintendo eShop also offers price drops on many other games, including FullBlast, Rock Zombie and Unepic for the Wii U and Goosebumps: The Game, Toys vs. Monsters and Fantasy Pirates for the 3DS.

The company also has a special offer for those who purchase Mario vs. Donkey Kong Tipping Stars: players who buy the game on the Wii U will get the 3DS version of the title for free. This also works in reverse: players who buy the game on the 3DS get the Wii U version for free.
