Drinky Is The Robot Drinking Buddy That Makes Sure Users Don't Have To Take Shots Alone

After a long day, sometimes all you want to do is crack open a bottle and pour yourself a drink or a few. However, drinking alone can be a bit boring — not to mention, you may start to second-guess your life choices.

Sometimes, all you need is a partner in crime, someone who won't judge you and who will always be up for taking just one more shot.

Meet Drinky the robot.

Created by South Korean inventor Enchain Park, Drinky is the robotic drinking buddy that can hold a shot glass in its hand and take them back with you. The little robot's cheeks flow red after pounding down the liquor to mirror the flush the user may be experiencing as well.

Don't worry about Drinky getting too drunk to not be able to continue partying on. The alcohol actually flows through a tube and is stored in a mason jar (that serves as its body), which also means that it's a cheap date since you won't need to buy more booze. It also can motion its arm as to mean "give me one more" and nod its head.

Park came up with the genius idea of creating a robot that would drink with people after he found himself single and lonely with no one to drink with him.

"I put an extra glass in front of me and poured Soju into it. And then, I cheered by myself with the glass of Soju, as though there was someone in front of me," Park writes. "Surprisingly, after that, the taste became totally [to be] changed! I could finally find the secret of [the] taste of alcohol totally depends on existence of [a] partner. This is why I made this robot."

Park got support from the Art Center Nabi, an art museum in Seoul, in order to build the robot.
It's not yet known whether or not Park will launch a crowdfunding campaign to make more Drinky robots at this time, but we really hope that he does.
