First Response Launches Bluetooth Pregnancy Test At CES 2016: Here's The Deal

Whether a woman wants to get pregnant or not, there's now an easier and more innovative way to find out with the new Bluetooth pregnancy test from First Response.

The First Response Pregnancy PRO Digital Test & App Access was launched at this year's CES and touted as the world's first ever Bluetooth pregnancy test. Apart from delivering test results, the app is also designed to provide a number of personalized experiences that will help in calming the nerves, entertaining and even educating the anxious user.

"The First Response Tracker App is a women's health tool, customized to help you get more in tune with your body," states the description on iTunes. "The App eliminates guesswork by forecasting your next period, calculating your most fertile days, estimating how far along you are and predicting your due date. Knowing your cycle and identifying the days you're most likely to conceive is very important. If you are trying to conceive, predicting these days can help you get pregnant sooner."

To start the pregnancy test, the user must first download the free app, which is available for both iOS and Android users. Next, the user must connect the "test stick" through Bluetooth. Afterwards, the user will then be given a walk through the entire process.

What makes it different from the standard pregnancy test available on the market is the ability of pairing the test stick with the app. The device, which costs around $20, can be used only once. It's designed with an overcap, absorbent tip, display screen and thumb grip.

Of course, the app will continue to work even if the user doesn't buy a test stick and conduct a test. It offers informative features such as menstrual cycle and pregnancy tracking at no extra cost.

The user must be able to establish whether she is keen on getting pregnant upon installing the app. This way, the results gleaned from the test will be customized and matched to the user's expectations.

For someone who wants to get pregnant, the app will then display the words "Congratulations! Pregnant" and will also be able to calculate the estimated due date.

Likewise, someone who is not keen on getting pregnant but earns a positive pregnancy test result may receive a different greeting.

"This unique testing experience includes the app that brings you unprecedented personalization and support during one of the most important moments in your life," says First Response.
