Netflix made the major announcement that its platform is now available in 130 countries during its keynote at CES 2016 in Las Vegas on Wednesday. That means even more people across the world will be able to stream the same content at the same time, including series like Marvel's Jessica Jones and Narcos, as well as new series that are slated for 2016.
Netflix used its keynote to showcase two of its new original series, releasing sizzle reels for both the drama The Crown, which will be released later this year, along with the musical drama The Get Down.
Created by Baz Luhrmann (Moulin Rouge) and Shawn Ryan (The Shield) and produced by Sony Pictures Entertainment, the series focuses on the birth of hip-hop, punk and disco in New York City in the 1970s.
Starring Jimmy Smits, Justice Smith, Herizen Guardiola, Shmeik Moore and Skylan Brooks, The Get Down will tell the story of a group of Bronx teenagers who have nothing but their dance moves to keep them going during the violent and financially-crippling time.
In addition to new series like The Crown and The Get Down, Netflix said it has plans to further release even more original content, including movies from Brad Pitt, Adam Sandler, Ricky Gervias, Judd Apatow, Angelina Jolie and more.
Part one of the 13-episode series The Get Down debuts later this year. Watch the trailer below.
