Amid all the CES news this week, Samsung has taken a rather quiet approach toward unveiling its new Chromebook 3, promising better battery life in a more lightweight computer.
The laptop won't break any ground when it comes to design, but it does offer some fairly nice specs, especially compared with some other Chromebooks we've seen so far.
The laptop comes in a 2.5-pound case and has an 11.6-inch display with a resolution of 1366 by 768. It's powered by an Intel Celeron N3050 processor and comes with a choice of either 2 GB or 4 GB of RAM. Not only that, but Samsung promises a battery life of as much as 11 hours, which is quite a bit more than the 8.5 listed for the Chromebook 2.
According to Samsung, the demand for the Chromebook has slowly been increasing ever since the first model was released back in 2011.
Samsung did not mention a specific price or release date, however, it did say the Chromebook 3 would be available in early 2016, and it's expected that the price won't be too different than the $399.99 cost of the Chromebook 2.
