It wouldn't be a CES with a ton of Sony announcements. The first of the deluge of announcements is the new 4K Handycam. The FDR-AX53 is a small handheld camcorder capable of shooting video in 4K resolution, along with 20x optical zoom, courtesy of a Zeiss lens.
The camera's also got a lot of features on board, including improved low-light video quality, a new five-directional noise-canceling microphone, image stabilization and support for slow motion video capture at 120 fps.
The camera is set for a March release and is priced at $999. The Handycam is joined by two other HD models, the $550 HDR-CX675 and the $400 HDR-CX455, both of which are updates to the company's PJ line of camcorders.
