LG Introduces 'Signature' Series Of Smart Products, Highlighted By Glass OLED 4K TVs

Seeing is believing.

That's what LG is bringing to the forefront with its all-new Signature series of smart products, as unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2016 at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas on Tuesday.

LG's Signature lineup consists of everything from smart TVs to refrigerators, washing machines, dishwashers, air purifiers, and even water dispensers, expected to impact customers in 2016. There's even a smart oven in the works as well.

Nothing stole the show more Tuesday than the LG Signature series of OLED 4K televisions, though, going all the way up to an eye-popping 98-inch, 8K model in case you like your TV viewing so big that the neighbors — or let alone, the entire neighborhood — can ejoy, too.

LG's OLED TVs eliminate anything unnecessary, essentially making its television the perfect picture on glass. Attached to a glass sheet, the company's new OLED TVs measure from an ultra thin 2.57 millimeters — at its thinnest — to 6.66 mm at its thickest. We're talking a few stacked credit cards in thinness here.

The TVs are made to look like works of art so much, well .... because they are works of art, literally able to display art even when the units are off.

Each LG OLED TV comes standard with Dolby surround sound and has ultra high definition (UHD) certification. Each unit also comes equipped with an embedded sound bar speaker, which could be folded and fit into the back of the television if desired.

Each OLED 4K TV also touts what the company says is the ability to depict the deepest black in picture possible, as if you're under the pitch-black night's sky.

Although the OLED TVs might have been the top highlight from LG's Signature lineup, the company's smart refrigerator also was a head turner.

That's because, the fridge touts a door-on-door technology, which allows users to knock on the door, enabling a transparent screen to appear, showing the unit's contents and even telling users foods' freshness.

Spectators also loved the fridge's auto open door technology, which casts a shadow by users feet, allowing them to step on it and open the refrigerator door.

Overall, the Signature series really relies on the five senses, especailly sight and the premise of seeing is believing. The products — whether it's the refrigerators, dish washers or water dispensers — are made so users can know how their products and their contents are functioning with just a glance.

Strong showing from LG.
