Software announcements can get lost pretty easily in the CES deluge, but here’s one worth noting. Ooma will be adding integration to its VoIP home phone service for a slew of different third-party platforms, including Apple Watch, Android Wear, DropBox, Philips Hue, Lifx and WeMo.
On the smartwatch front, Ooma Telo calls will be pushed as notifications to Apple Watch and Android Wear devices. Integration with Philips Hue and the WeMo smartplug, meanwhile, means utilizing bulbs as caller idea, turning light sources into customized ring tones.
Voicemail notifications can also be integrated with the lightbulb functionality, while archived messages can be autosaved to a DropBox account.
