GoPro has released a video called "Best of 2015 - The Year in Review" that shows some of the company's best videos taken in 2015.
GoPro is an American camera manufacturer that makes action cameras, which are normally used in extreme-action videography. GoPro also makes a number of mounting accessories that can be used with the company's cameras such as Chest Harness, Surfing Mount, Dog Harness and more.
On Dec. 27, the camera maker released the 5-minute-long video on YouTube which shows how owners used their GoPro cameras to take some of the best videos taken in 2015.
"Take an epic journey that looks back on some of the best moments captured on GoPro in 2015, from high up in the sky to deep below the sea and everything in-between," said GoPro's video description. "Shot 100% on the HERO4 camera."
The GoPro ad shows aerial videos, on the land videos and videos taken underwater. Some clips show people involved in outdoor activities such as ice skiing, snowboarding, cycling and skateboarding. It also includes videos of people in a gig, people playing music, people doing daily chores, enjoying outdoors and many more. A part of the clip also shows a GoPro camera being used for capturing video while kids are cooking.
The "Best of 2015" video compilation was shot by HERO4 cameras, which shows the proficiency of the HERO4 lineup in taking high quality videos in outdoor environments.
GoPro unveiled the HERO4 camera in September 2014 and the company claimed that the HERO4 was "The Most Powerful GoPro Lineup, Ever." At launch, the HERO4 camera lineup included the HERO4 Black and the HERO4 Silver.
"For the past twelve years, our passion has been to make it easy for people to self-capture jaw dropping, professional quality footage of themselves engaged in their favorite activities," said Nicholas Woodman, founder and CEO of GoPro. "That passion led us to embark on our most ambitious design and engineering effort ever, and the result is nothing short of the ultimate GoPro-the HERO4 Black. We can't wait to see what the world captures with it."
The HERO4 Black has an MSRP of $499 and the HERO4 Silver an MSRP of $399.
In July 2015, GoPro launched the HERO4 Session, which the company announced as the lightest, smallest and the "most Convenient GoPro, yet."
"HERO4 Session combines the best of our engineering and user-experience know-how to deliver our most convenient life-capture solution, yet," said Woodman. "At GoPro, sound quality is as important as image quality and we're very excited about the stunning audio advancements we've made with HERO4 Session during water-based and windy activities. It's incredible what this little GoPro can capture."
The HERO4 Session has an MSRP of $399.99. GoPro also announced that the new HERO4 Session was compatible with existing GoPro mounts.
Even though GoPro cameras are normally used for shooting in extreme outdoor activities, the gadgets can also be used indoors as regular cameras.
