The Islamic State (IS, ISIS, ISIL, Daesh) released a 24-minute speech Dec. 26, said to be by its reclusive leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. In the audio clip, al-Baghdadi appeals to Muslims all over the world to unite and join their fight.
But Muslims decided they had better things to do than join the terrorist group, and took to Twitter to troll instead.
Writer and human rights activist Iyad El-Baghdadi (not to be mistaken for al-Baghdadi) translated the clip into English and posted it on Twitter. In the clip, al-Baghdadi says that they are surrounded on all sides and calls upon all Muslims to join their crusade, especially those in Saudi Arabia, the land of the two shrines (Mecca the Blessed and Medina the Radiant are located in Saudi Arabia and are two of the three most venerated shrines in the Islamic holy world).
However, it seems that Muslims would rather finish a campaign in Call of Duty, watch the new “Star Wars” movie, and wait and see if Jon Snow truly is alive in season 6 of "Game of Thrones" than answer the call to fight. El-Baghdadi's Twitter notifications must be through the roof with replies to his translated post from the Daesh leader.
ISIS leaders: We urgently call upon every Muslim to join the fight, especially those in the land of the two shrines (Saudi Arabia), rise.

Others also declined the invitation, posting that the call of Netflix and other must-see TV shows were stronger than the pull of the caliphate.
Too busy doing some Netflix related things. https://t.co/7EjzkpWDzu — Menna منّة (@TheMiinz) December 27, 2015

While others shared that many mundane, day-to-day life matters sounded more appealing than fighting.

To sum it up: Muslims on Twitter are not a force to be messed with. Better look elsewhere for recruits, Daesh.
So my mild irritation aside, big picture, it's always good when Muslims troll ISIS and demonstrate once again how much they reject it. — Iyad El-Baghdadi (@iyad_elbaghdadi) December 30, 2015
