The Beast meets the Warrior — the Celtic Warrior, that is.
With the year ending and the road to WrestleMania 32 upon us, Brock Lesnar and his limited contract are being penciled in for more WWE in-ring action, so much so that he has learned his next opponent — none other than Sheamus.
A local commercial in Houston revealed Monday that Lesnar will return to the ring to face Sheamus next Friday, Jan. 8, at the Toyota Center, home of the Houston Rockets.
Pitting the Celtic Warrior up against the Beast makes sense, considering Brock pretty much dismantled Sheamus' fellow League of Nations members Alberto Del Rio and Rusev, taking them on a harsh tour of Suplex City and dropping them off with F5s during a houseshow last weekend.
As a matter of fact, the only League of Nations member to not feel the wrath of Lesnar has been King Barrett, but that's only due to Barrett currently being injured.
That being said, if there's anyone suited to battle Brock, it's Sheamus. Besides Brock and maybe Kevin Owens, one would be hard-pressed to pinpoint a WWE Superstar who genuinely enjoys to dish out pain like Sheamus, making this upcoming match all the more intriguing.
While Lesnar may just dispatch the entire League of Nations well before WrestleMania 32 at this point, the Beast still battling the faction through January's Royal Rumble is a good indicator that it'll likely be involved in a match with him of some sorts come April 3 in Dallas.
As physical and ruthless as Sheamus is in his own right, what are the chances that he tames the Beast in just over a week's time?
