OpenEmu 2.0 adds support for the Sony PlayStation (first-generation), PlayStation Portable (PSP), Nintendo 64, Sega CD and other gaming consoles.
OpenEmu is an open source multi-system game emulator which is designed for the Mac OS X. OpenEmu offers a plugin interface for emulating many gaming consoles' hardware like Game Boy, Sega Genesis, Nintendo Entertainment System and more.
In December 2013, OpenEmu released its version 1.0 after a very lengthy beta testing period. A number of updates have also been released since the original release.
OpenEmu has announced that its version 2.0 supports 16 new systems that include: WonderSwan, Vectrex, TurboGrafx-CD/PCE-CD, Sony PlayStation (first-generation), Sony PSP, Sega CD, SG-1000, PC-FX, Odyssey²/Videopac+, Nintendo 64, Intellivision, Famicom Disk System, ColecoVision, Atari Lynx, Atari 5200 and Atari 7800.
On Thursday, Dec. 24, the OpenEmu Team also announced the release of OpenEmu 2.0 on Twitter.

OpenEmu version 2.0 needs OS X 10.11 or higher. OpenEmu 2.0 has a redesigned user interface (UI), which is modern looking and beautiful. OpenEmu suggests that version 2 brings real-time gameplay rewinding.
The latest OpenEmu 2.0 can organize screenshots and save states. The new version of OpenEmu adds 80 homebrew games and automap support for Stratus XL and SteelSeries Nimbus controllers.
The latest version of the open source multi-system game emulator is also optimized for input handling and eliminates latency. It has also fixed a number of performance issues and other bugs.
OpenEmu also revealed that previous Sega Genesis/Mega Drive save states have been removed because of unresolvable incompatibilities with the emulator.
