Tucked away near the bottom of a press release for Season of Infamy, the latest and greatest Batman: Arkham Knight video game DLC, is a special little free piece of additional DLC for those who have achieved 240 percent completion. No, that number’s not a mistake — you really can complete the game at 240 percent.
Well, kind of. The 240 percent actually marks beating the main game twice — 100 percent plus 100 percent — and the extra 40 percent reportedly comes courtesy of Season of Infamy content. That is a whole lot of Batman to trek through for a little extra tidbit. So, what’s Rocksteady got cooked up for those intrepid players who have gone above and beyond? The Batsuit v8.05 — Prestige Edition.
That’s right; an unlockable Batsuit. That’s the prize for 240 percent completion in Batman: Arkham Knight. So, clearly, it must be some sort of incredible, game-breaking delight, right? Apparently not. Thanks to some monkeying around in the game’s PC code, the special Batsuit has already been put on display. Unfortunately, it’s not all that great.
It appears that this “prestige” Batsuit really just swaps the symbol on the chest for a golden one. Which … OK, that’s fine and all, and a nifty little unlockable. However, for 240 percent? That seems like driving across America for a smoothie. The payout really feels like an incredibly minor thing for so much work. Then again, it’s free, and nobody actually needs to play Arkham Knight to the point where they have 240 percent, but they can, and this little Batsuit is there to greet them at the finish line.
