Are you already a DJ among your inner circle, counted upon to select the best tunes and even mix the most apt records?
Well, life just might have gotten easier for you. On Thursday, the Pacemaker DJ app for the iPhone announced an update, which auto-mixes your favorite records right from your Spotify playlist.
What this means is the Pacemaker app will recommend mix-friendly records directly from your playlist and line them up side-to-side, ready to be mixed. However, just because the app makes suggestions doesn't mean you have to take Pacemaker up on them. Users can select the exact records they want to mix, too, tailoring the sound to match their audible preferences.
Mixes can also be tweaked via simple drag-and-drop actions, pinpointing the exact time the mix kicks in, whether sooner or later.
"More power to the creator!" the "what's new" section of the updated app's page on the App Store reads. "Now you can personalize your mix by moving and choosing where the transition happens."
One tap of the app's lightning icon, and the next track on your playlist will immediately begin mixing in like DJing magic.
Engadget even claims that because songs will be coming from your Spotify playlist, for example, that artists will still get paid on them during mixes.
Sounds like a good deal all around.
