Teaser Trailer For ‘Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them’ Released

Finally! We can now have a look at the wizardly world decades before Harry Potter stepped foot inside Hogwarts, thanks to the teaser trailer for "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them."

Directed by David Yates with a script by J.K. Rowling herself, the spin-off is set in New York City circa 1926, where Newt Scamander had just finished his trip around the world to find and document all the extraordinary magical creatures he can find. However, the magizoologist has no time to enjoy the sights in The Big Apple as he has misplaced his suitcase, leading to the escape of some of the magical beasts he's encountered in his travels. Scamander's adventure in New York will also include a No-Maj called Jacob.

"Yesterday, a wizard entered New York with a case, a case full of magical creatures, and unfortunately some have escaped."

This line essentially set the tone for "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them," providing a premise for the movie.

"Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" will star Eddie Redmayne as Scamander. He will be joined by Katherine Waterston as Tina; Ezra Miller as Credence; Alison Sudol as Queenie, Tina's sister; Jon Voight as Henry Shaw, Sr.; Dan folder as Jacob; Samantha Morton as Mary Lou; Jenn Murray as Chastity; Ron Perlman as Gnarlack; Faith Wood-Blagrove as Modesty; Carmen Ejogo as Seraphina; and Colin Farrell as Percival Graves.

The movie is due to hit theaters Nov. 2016. It will be the first of three films to be based on the companion book "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" for the "Harry Potter" series and will mark Rowling's debut as screenwriter.

Aside from "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them," "Harry Potter" fans are also looking forward to "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child," the eighth story in the series which will be presented as a stage play.
