It's the weekend, and that can only mean one thing, Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 double XP. Yes, folks, every gamer who owns Black Ops 3 will get Double XP for the whole weekend when they play online multiplayer matches.
The double XP started Friday and will be available up to Monday 1 p.m. EST. Furthermore, Treyarch stated that it will remove the Chaos Moshpit playlist and replace it with Nuketown. And for those who are wondering, Double XP is live on all platforms.
We should point out that the double XP weekend will be available for both multiplayer and zombies.
Gamers should take advantage of the double XP weekend because they will be able to level up their weapons faster than usual. Furthermore, the new update to the game caused changes to around 19 weapons, so we suggest gamers consider the need to adjust their load out or play style because things could turn out differently.
The following are some of the changes made to the game according to tweets by David Vonderhaar, studio design director at Treyarch:
– Small weapons get tuning edits, along with a promise of no buff on the Weevil submachine gun.
– There will be a lot of tuning changes before the CWL online qualifiers.
– Locking on as Streaks once entering the play space will be prevented.
– People who go idle in a game and collect Crypto keys will be prohibited too.
As the double XP weekend rolls out, Treyarch is hard at work on the next patch, but for now, the developer is keeping its lips sealed tight as to when this new path will be ready.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is the newest addition to the Call of Duty franchise, and the first Black Ops title made available for the current generation of consoles.
