Mods give gamers a huge amount of creative power in the games they play. Whether it's adding new elements to a game or modifying existing pieces, mods breathe new life into PC gaming.
Some of the most popular mods are always the ones that add elements from other popular video games. Take Fallout 4, for example. Fallout 4 is a huge, open world RPG crafted by Bethesda that players can spend hundreds of hours exploring. But wouldn't it be better if there was more Legend of Zelda in it?
Via Silicon Era, some modders seem to think so. Whether or not the mods below make Fallout 4 better is definitely debatable, but for fans of Nintendo's franchise it's still cool to see. Various modders have each added a little Hyrule flavor the wasteland of the Commonwealth. Check them out below.
First up is this Master Sword mod by ClockWyrck. The Hero of Time (or the Sole Survivor, in this case) is nothing without his legendary sword, so it only makes sense for this to be one of the first Legend of Zelda themed mods to arrive for Bethesda's RPG. The mod reskins the Chinese Officer's sword to match the iconic look of Link's primary weapon.
Next we have a Legend of Zelda themed Pip-boy for the survivor who can't get enough of Nintendo's franchise. Sporting a green exterior with images of Toon Link, the Hyrule crest and the word Zelda emlazoned on the top, this mod from Maartman is for those who have grown tired of their Pip-boy's usual aesthetic.
Last but certainly not least is this mod from North Vedicae's Misc Moons mod, which adds various moons for players to choose from while staring up at Fallout 4's night sky. One of those moons just happens to be the terrifying Moon from Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. We can only hope it doesn't crash to the Earth and destroy what little is left of human civilization.
You can download all these mods (and check out even more) over at Nexus Mods.
