Popular celebrities have to deal with crazed fans every now and then but Norman Reedus, "The Walking Dead's" motorcycle riding crossbow king, Daryl Dixon, experienced how it is like firsthand when a fangirl literally bit him during a photo opportunity at the "Walker Stalker Con" held in New Jersey on Dec. 6. So much for first impressions.
The woman slid between Reedus and Michael Rooker, who plays Daryl's brother Merle, for the photo taking and she expressed how big of a Norman Reedus fan she is and that she imagines that she is married to the actor. Surely Reedus has heard similar words before so they proceeded to taking the photos.
Little did everyone know that this fangirl was different because she channeled her inner walker and turned her head to literally bite Reedus' chest. "What the f- was that?!," Rooker reportedly blurted out in surprise.
Security quickly mobilized to remove the woman from Reedus and escorted her out of the venue. She was also forced to forfeit her two $100 photo op tickets and, probably the biggest blow, is banned from future "Walker Stalker Conventions" and events where Reedus will be present.
Perhaps the woman finally realized just what a big mess she made since she took to Instagram and issued an apology to the actor for her actions. "I don't know what came over me. It wasn't my intention to hurt him. I'm sorry Norman!," she captioned her photo with Reedus and Rooker on an Instagram photo.
Reedus was reportedly fine and didn't require medical attention since the bite didn't break skin. He also decided not to file charges on the woman who bit him since he wasn't really hurt and, in true Daryl fashion, he faced other fans head on. Reedus was not bitten a second time that day.
Of course, Reedus has a request to all his fans which he sent via Instagram.
