When it comes to Hollywood celebrities as big as Sandra Bullock, any life-changing decision would unsurprisingly be leaked to the press either by some anonymous source or discovered by the paparazzi. Of course, when it comes to someone like Sandra Bullock, anything that must be kept a secret when it involves your family stays a secret, just like how the A-list celebrity surprised everyone with the news that she has a new adopted daughter.
In a Dec. 2 published interview, Sandra Bullock finally lets the news out that she adopted a 3-year-old toddler from Louisiana and that the secrecy had to do with protecting the child's privacy, something that she is legally bound to do in order to legalize her adoption.
"I had promised and legally agreed to protect her from something like this, and here I was chasing down lawyers – having them begging them to keep her safe," Bullock said about that time the paparazzi were able to take a snapshot of Laila when they went to an emergency room.
Fortunately for Bullock, her lawyers seem to have been successful in keeping her secret under wraps because the process of adopting her little girl was not jeopardized.
"The last thing I wanted was to bring more harm to her because of the nature of my job," Bullock added.
Bullock also said that the major reason that finally made her decide to go through with another adoption was because her son Louis said he wanted a sibling. "He did specify that he wanted a sibling who has some brown skin," she revealed.
We can all tell that Bullock is very much in love with her family right now. "When I look at Laila, there's no doubt in my mind that she was supposed to be here... I can tell you absolutely, the exact right children came to me at the exact right time," she said.
