Japanese company Yamada Denki has announced a new mobile phone called "Every Phone," which is the thinnest Windows Phone to date.
Windows Phone handsets have been gaining a lot of popularity amongst smartphone enthusiasts and many users will want to try the latest Windows 10 Mobile operating system on their device. Unfortunately, only a handful of Windows 10 Mobile-powered phones are available in the market.
The operating system may attract many customers but the thinnest is also expected to entice many smartphone lovers. The Every Phone measures 154.8 x 78.6 x 6.9 mm, or 6.09 x 3.09 x 0.27 inches. Previously, Nokia Lumia 830 was the thinnest Windows Phone-powered handset available to customers. The Lumia 830 measures 139.4 x 70.7 x 8.5 mm, or 5.49 x 2.78 x 0.33 inches.
The Every Phone is also thin when compared to the iPhone 6s, which is 7.1 mm, or 0.28 inch thick.
The Every Phone includes modest features. According to Yamada Denki's website (in Japanese), the mobile phone sports a 5.5-inch display with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution. A quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor and 2GB of RAM powers the Every Phone.
The Yamada Denki offering comes equipped with 13MP primary camera with dual LED Flash. It also includes a 5MP selfie camera. The device has 32GB of internal storage and 2600mAh battery. The handset also has a microSD card slot, which can help customers to store music, pictures and videos in external storage.
The phone supports Bluetooth and LTE support. The Every Phone will be available in two hues: black and white. It has a price tag of JPY 39,800, or about $324, which is more than the price of handsets in the same segment in several other regions of the world.
Sales of the Every Phone in Japan starts Nov. 28 and Yamada Denki will be throwing a Bluetooth keyboard worth JPY 4600, around $37.50, and a screen protector worth JPY 900, around $7.35, to the first 3000 buyers.
