Headphone and speaker manufacturer Klipsch has announced a new portable Bluetooth speaker called the Groove, which is the first speaker in a new line that will be released by Klipsch over the next year.
The Klipsch Groove is aimed at delivering a lot of sound for such a small package, and measures five inches wide by four inches high. Not only that, but the speaker is even water-resistant, perfect considering the fact that it is aimed at being portable.
"This is the first product in an excitingly large line up of wireless speakers that Klipsch will introduce over the next several years. The Klipsch Groove is a solution for people that want quality audio on the go as technology advances and content is consumed in different formats," said Steve Jain, VP and GM of audio solutions at Klipsch, in a statement.
According to Klipsch, the speaker is aimed at accurately reproducing sound through its three-inch high-output driver and its two-inch oval-shaped bass speaker. Of course, only time will tell how accurate the sound reproduction actually is, especially considering the size of the speaker, however, according to the company, the speaker produces a lifelike experience with realistic bass.
The look of the device is also great, as it offers a perforated metal grille that showcases the acoustic components in the speaker, along with a protective rubber inlay that helps the speaker stay put.
The Klipsch Groove can connect to smartphones or other devices through Bluetooth, and users can also transmit audio through a wired 2.5 mm input. Not only that, but it is able to remember up to eight connected Bluetooth devices so that reconnection can go quickly and smoothly the next time the user wants to play audio.
The Klipsch Groove costs $149 and is available in a black finish from the Klipsch website.
