We all love putting LEGO blocks together to create masterpieces that leave us with pride as we tap into our creativity. But you have never felt more pain in your life than when accidentally stepping on one of these pieces.
To avoid you spilling out a stream of curse words after getting one of these bricks wedged on the bottom of your foot, the company has teamed up with its French advertising company to create protective slippers just in time for the holidays.
The agency Brand Station revealed the LEGO slippers last week on Facebook, along with a video of how they are made. The red and yellow LEGO slippers look like any other soft house shoes, but have thick padding on the bottom so walking over a field of the pokey plastic bricks will leave you pain-free.
The slippers are interchangeable between feet and are open in the back to immediately put on, so you don't have to worry about having a mishap in the dark.
According to the French blog Piwee, only 1,500 pairs of slippers were made, and they will be given away from a random selection of LEGO lovers who fill out a Christmas list on the LEGO France website.
Chances are these slippers won't roll out worldwide, but some lucky French parents will no longer have to worry about their feet being destroyed after walking over a minefield of LEGOs.
