Gamers who are in the market for a new Xbox One console will also be able to get a game of their choice for free when they buy a new Xbox One bundle.
The free offer, which is valid until Nov. 21, will include a new disc-based game or a downloaded digital copy for the Xbox One which has a maximum retail value of $59.99. Gamers should be able to get the free offer at participating shops when they purchase any new Xbox One bundle. These include Best Buy, Amazon, Target, GameStop and the Microsoft Store.
"Free game will be a new disc-based game or a digital game download for Xbox One, maximum retail value $59.99," the Xbox promo page reads. "Not valid for pre-order games. Limit one free game per eligible Xbox One purchase per person, up to three games total per person. Cannot be combined with other console offers. Refurbished consoles not included. See your local retailer for details."
The free game promo offer comes at a time when new titles are being released for the past few weeks. These include high-profile games such as Rise of the Tomb Raider, Call of Duty: Black Ops III, Halo 5: Guardians, and Fallout 4. Moreover, EA announced that it is releasing Star Wars Battlefront on Tuesday, Nov.17, which is one of this year's biggest games as well.
"Star Wars Battlefront is set to release next week on 17 November, but EA Access members get to play it first on Xbox One right now - experience the full game for up to 10 hours before the actual release date," said Major Nelson on his official site. "And celebrate the upcoming launch of one of the year's most anticipated titles and newest video game set in the iconic Star Wars universe with the Star Wars Battlefront + Xbox One Elite Bundle Giveaway."
Over at Amazon, the price of an Xbox One gaming console ranges from $327 to $493. Up for grabs include Xbox One 500 GB console bundled with either The Lego or Gears of War and the Xbox One 1 TB console bundled with choices of Fallout 4, 3 games (Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, Rare Replay, Ori and the Blind Forest), Madden NFL 16, EA Sports FIFA, and Halo 5. Another bundle adds Kinect to the 500 GB version of the Xbox One.
The Xbox One reportedly outsold the PlayStation 4 in the United States as noted in October. With the record-breaking game title Fallout 4 and the new Star Wars Battlefront included in the console's lineup, it will be interesting to know how it will be able to keep the momentum until the end of the year.
