Logitech Ready For iPad Pro Launch With $150 Keyboard: Here's What You Get

The new Create Keyboard Case from Logitech features the Smart Connector of iPad Pro which makes it a perfect complement to the latest flagship from Apple at a price that is totally pocket-friendly.

Otherwise known as "Logi Create Backlit Keyboard Case with Smart Connector," the device will surely attract potential iPad Pro customers who are looking for a cheaper alternative to Apple's own Smart Keyboard which is priced at $169. At $19 cheaper, the keyboard features backlit 19mm keys and a full function row of keys. Users can also prop the case at two viewing angles. Moreover, the keyboard's Smart Connector feature allows users to instantly switch on and connect without having to adjust the device's Bluetooth settings.

"Through leveraging the Smart Connector, the Logi CREATE keyboard automatically powers on and connects with the iPad Pro when placed in the typing position - no Bluetooth pairing needed," said Logitech in a blog post. "And because the keyboard is powered by the iPad Pro, you never have to think about charging your keyboard again."

The idea of making accessories for the iPad is n ot entirely new for Apple as the company has been doing so since it released its first ever iPad. With the introduction of the new Smart Connector, it has somehow launched a new way for an external keyboard to connect to the device and work side by side with iOS. The launch of the new Create Keyboard Case somehow establishes the idea that Apple is giving Logitech and other third-parties the ability to connect and interact with their new set of accessories.

The second product launched is called the "Logi Create Protective Case with Any-angle Stand." As the name implies, the case can be used to help users in holding their iPad Pro at a perfect viewing angle that is within the range of 60 degrees. Crafted with a hinge that is hidden from normal view, using the case will allow total flexibility in one's chosen viewing activity. This can include checking one's social media while staying on a couch, sending out an email while at a desk or catching up on a movie even during mid-flight.

"When surprises come your way, both of the cases' durable and water-repellant materials have you covered," said Logitech. This means that the iPad gets protected at the front and back from unforeseen dangers such as bumps, scratches and spills. All of these are achieved with no added bulk or weight to keep up with.

Both products come in options of red, black and blue and users will be able to snag them online alongside the iPad Pro of Apple. The keyboard case with Smart Connector is priced at $149.99 while the protective case that boasts of providing any-angle stand for the iPad Pro is at $79.99.
