Conan O'Brien Proves He Is A 'Clueless Gamer' When It Comes To 'Fallout 4'

Bethesda's highly anticipated video game Fallout 4 hit shelves on Tuesday, allowing fans to finally explore wastelands of the Commonwealth in the latest chapter of the apocalyptic series.

But not all of us are familiar with the Fallout franchise.

One prime example is late-night TV host Conan O'Brien, who aired a parody video about the video game as part of his recurring segment called "Clueless Gamer" during Monday night's episode of Late Night with Conan O'Brien.

In the segment, O'Brien is seen driving up to work with his Pip Boy plates, with ice-cold Nuka-Cola in the backseat and his Vault-Tec bobblehead on the dash.

As soon as he drives up to security to get to the Warner Bros. lot, the alarms start ringing, signaling "the end of civilization."

O'Brien continues on without a care in the world as chaos begins to break out all around him. Even the radio announces that it looks like WW III has just started, sending people running into a panic as bombs go off in blasts in the near distance.

That doesn't stop O'Brien from taking a stroll down to the Gilmore Girls set. Guess the funny man just doesn't know how serious this is.

To clear his security, he must answer a Gilmore Girls trivia question, and of course he nails it. The comedian then strips off his suit to reveal he is wearing the iconic Wasteland costume, and enters the Vault just in time. Once in safety, he takes a seat next to co-host Aaron Bleyaert, who already has controller in hand ready to go.

While Bethesda got teased for the Fallout 4 craze during the "Clueless Gamer" segment, other games that have been featured in the previous installments include The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Halo 5: Guardians, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Super Smash Bros. Wii U.

Some studios pay their way into being featured in the popular spot, with horror game Outlast's developer Red Barrels Studio handing over $35,000 to be featured on Late Night with Conan O'Brien. But with all the publicity surrounding the well-loved game, we doubt Bethesda shelled out real-life bottle caps to be featured in the segment.
