Xiaomi is teasing the two smartphones to launch on Wednesday, Nov. 11. The company did not state the name of these devices, but rumors have it they could be the Xiaomi Mi 5 and the Redmi Note 2 Pro.
The teaser was launched on the company's official page on Weibo, China's No. 1 microblogging platform that is similar to Twitter. The image shows a smartphone under a curtain, along with the teaser "Mi Dual 11".
The teaser image also has a caption, confirming November 11 to be the date new Xiaomi handsets will grace the world:
"This time we play the big! (sic) New phone finale debut at 0:00 on November 11 onwards," reads the description.
The Mi 5 is rumored to a be a powerhouse of a smartphone when it launches. Rumors claim the handset could launch with a 5.2-inch QHD display with 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution and a possible 3000 mAh battery life. When it comes down to the camera, the handset may have a decent 16-megapixel shooter attached at the rear, complete with optical image stabilization (OIS).
To round things off, the Xiaomi Mi 5 will reportedly come with 4GB of RAM and up to 64GB of internal storage.
The Redmi Note 2 Pro is the less powerful of the two devices. It is rumored to have a metal body along with a fingerprint scanner for security purposes, similar to the iPhone. A 2GHz octa-core processor and a 5.5-inch display make for a smartphone that could rival most.
On the matter of the camera, the device reportedly comes with a 13-megapixel rear shooter and a 5-megapixel camera at the front for taking selfies and making video calls via various apps. There's also the addition of 2GB of RAM, which is quite small when compared to the Mi 5.
Both the Xiaomi Mi 5 and Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro are powerful handsets based on rumored specifications. With the purported launch just around the corner, we should learn more soon enough.
