PowerPoint Presentations As Photo Albums And Videos Can Now Be Shared On Social Media

For a long time, Microsoft PowerPoint presentations were relegated to projection slides in staff meetings.

Well, not anymore. With the release of Social Share, a free Microsoft Garage project plug-in, PowerPoint presentation slides can now be shared on Facebook and Twitter as images or video. Users can opt to share PowerPoint snapshots of slides or even entire presentations as a photo album or video right from the comfort of their Microsoft Office pane. Social Share is available via download on the app's website.

Once a PowerPoint post is made on either Facebook or Twitter and friends comment, you can see their social media reactions via the app without leaving it, for extra convenience, which is especially helpful if you're still working within Powerpoint and have to add something to your presentation. In addition, Social Share automatically uploads your document to OneDrive so links can be shared with friends.

This update is a long time coming ... but better late than never.

PowerPoint presentations able to be shared on social networks will be especially handy to companies with multiple locations, making information easily disseminated to employees with a clean look that possibly saves them time ... because we all know how slide presentations can drag on.

In addition, this could also be used when employees want to share their presentations with friends who don't work with them.
