'Project Cars' Wii U version will not be out until 2015

"Project Cars," dubbed as the "most authentic" car racing game ever created is confirmed to launch before the year ends with versions available on the PC, PlayStation4 and the Xbox One. Users of the Wii U version will have to wait a few months more as the game won't be available at least until the beginning of the following year.

This is not the first time that Wii U players have experienced delays in terms of game releases. It must be remembered that games from Ubisoft such as Watch Dogs and Rayman Legends have the same delayed releases for the Wii U.

Though the reasons for the delay have not been confirmed, there are those who gave some educated guesses. One reason links it to the game's distribution rights which were acquired by Bandai Namco. Based on the tweet made by Lee Kirton, Bandai Namco UK's Marketing & PR director, "Project Cars" will have a November release on platforms such as the PS4, Xbox One and the PC while the Wii U is coming in 2015.

There's no evidence that the game's delay is purposely done by Bandai Namco which could be using it as a strategy to gain a wider accessibility on more powerful game consoles and platforms. However, it's difficult to ignore the strong coincidence that goes with the issue. Since there's really nothing much to do about the situation, it is therefore advised to just take things one day at a time and focus first on the game's available releases in November.

"Project CARS" (Community Assisted Racing Simulator) is designed to feature a realistic driving simulation. Compared with leading names such as Forza Motorsport and Gran Turismo, the game uses a "sandbox" approach which enables the player to manipulate the game's motorsports paths and to gain quick access to tracks and vehicles. Weather, lightning and other outdoor conditions are simulated while the player is taken to various racing events that run for several days beginning from the game's shakedown and continues through until the qualifying rounds and real race.

"We're committed to delivering an exceptional and unique experience for racing fans on Wii U and for this we kindly ask our devoted and passionate Nintendo fans for a little more time in order to ensure the game delivers on our vision of being the most authentic, beautiful, and technically-advanced racing game on any platform," said by Bandai Namco.

The game is also designed to support the virtual reality headset from Oculus Rift and will have the 4K resolution. Project Cars is not available on versions of Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
