For gamers who can't wait to get their hands on the most buzzed about video game of the year, waiting in line at retailers like GameStop or the online queue for its midnight release is a common practice. But now Amazon is helping consumers eliminate wait times so they can get right into the action by delivering Call of Duty: Black Ops III at midnight.
Amazon announced on Monday, Nov. 2, that its Prime Now delivery service will immediately send the highly anticipated game of the holiday season when it comes out on Friday, Nov. 6, at 12 a.m. EST.
Prime members must place their order using the Prime Now app starting at midnight Eastern Standard Time on Nov. 4 to take advantage of this service. But make sure to download the app now since there will be limited slots available for the midnight delivery in each city.
Customers can also order additional items to be delivered with the game such as snacks or additional controllers so you can start playing right away with essentials to help you make it through the night.
The game—and any extra goodies—will be delivered to your home within two hours of midnight with no additional delivery charge. Members can also track their order, so they can be ready to answer the door when waiting up to play the game.
Prime Now is currently available in Atlanta, Austin, Baltimore, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Indianapolis, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Manhattan, Miami, Minneapolis, Orange County, Phoenix, Portland, Sacramento, San Antonio, San Francisco, San Jose, and Seattle.
Developed by Activison and Treyarch for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, Call of Duty: Black Ops III will introduce four-player gameplay for its campaign mode called the "Shadow of Evil" zombie mode. The video game retails for $49.99.
