Neil Patrick Harris and Family Win Halloween Again With Epic Star Wars Coordinated Halloween Costumes

Halloween may be a big thing in Hollywood but it's an even bigger event for Hollywood celebrities with kids as they try to have a themed costume for the entire family or to outdo the previous year's costume. One of the more adorable families in Hollywood this Halloween is none other than the family of Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka who went with a very popular theme right now: Star Wars.

Harris posted a photo of their family on Instagram with the caption "A long time ago in a Halloween far, far away..." on Oct. 31. In it, Harris was dressed up as Obi-Wan Kenobi in his old age, complete with the white beard and with his hood up, his husband, actor and chef David Burtka, posed as Han Solo at the back while their adorable fraternal twins, Harper and Gideon, wore a Princess Leia costume complete with the buns, and Luke Skywalker with his lightsaber. Also somewhere in the photo is a photobombing Yoda.

On Oct. 28, Burtka also tweeted a photo of the twins outside their Harlem home wearing an entirely different costume for their Halloween Concert. Harper was wearing a Queen of Mermaids costume while Gideon went as Captain Color Pants.

Harris and Burtka's family is no stranger to awesome themed Halloween costumes. In 2014, they decided to have a Batman theme with the kids dressed up as the caped crusader team of Batman and Batgirl, and the parents taking the role of the villains, Riddler for Harris and Joker for Burtka.

With the excitement coming from both parents and children, one can only imagine that the costumes each year will only get better and we can hardly wait to see what the family will surprise us with next year.

Harper and Gideon, Harris and Burtka's fraternal twins conceived via a surrogate, turned five early this October.
