Things have not been easy for Barry Allen as of late. Not that things have ever been all that easy, but after dealing with the nonsense that comes with time travel, you'd think he'd get a bit of a break. Sadly, that's just isn't the case: not only did Barry and the rest of Team Flash discover the existence of parallel dimensions, but they learned that Barry isn't the only speedster out fighting crime: Jay Garrick, the Crimson Comet of Earth-2, jumped between dimensions to warn our heroes of an impending invasion by a man named 'Zoom.'
Now, thanks to the promo for this week's episode, fans know that Jay and Zoom won't be the only visitors from Earth-2: Harrison Wells is back.
Granted, this isn't the maniacal time-traveler that Barry had to deal with throughout the first season: from what we can see in the teaser, it looks like this version of Harrison Wells is more regretful scientist than crazed supervillain. No, the real trouble is Zoom himself - though it looks like Wells may have some inside information on just who Zoom really is:
It'll be interesting to see how this alternate universe angle progresses throughout the season: it's easy to assume most people would think that parallel dimensions are a bit much for most viewers to keep track of. Then again, the first season of The Flash handled its time travel elements so well, it's safe to say that the show's writers can handle a bit of dimension-hopping.
The Flash airs Tuesday night at 8pm EST on The CW.
