Netflix is removing the Marvel television series on its platform despite producing the series in the past years, making it one of the glorious series of the company. Before Netflix's production, Marvel did not bat an eye on characters like Daredevil and The Punisher, as their previous films got box office disappointments. However, there are rumors of its availability via Disney+.

Netflix's "Daredevil" Season 1 to 3, "The Punisher" Season 1 to 2, "Jessica Jones" Season 1 to 3, "Luke Cage" Season 1 to 2, "Iron Fist" Season 1 to 2, and "The Defenders" Season 1 are all vacating the streaming platform.

The end of an era is coming by February 28, by 11:59 PM local time, and by March 1's midnight, the shows are ceasing to exist in their initial home with Netflix. This is because Disney's publishing rights are expiring with Netflix's streaming platform, and the characters licensed to them will not be renewed for streaming for the company.

Netflix follows with another disappointing one from Disney as it aims to make Disney+ the center for all things Marvel, soon to showcase its lineup there from the Marvel Extended Universe. It follows the heartbreaking news in the past years that these shows would not renew for their supposed succeeding seasons.

Disney+ to Stream Netflix's Marvel Productions?

The blog post by "What's on Disney Plus" talked about the streaming platform of The Walt Disney Company, Disney+, and its possibility to carry these shows from Netflix. It is possible, and there is no denying that, but for now, there are no announcements to its transition of streaming platforms to stream the series or continue the story of these heroes.

Disney+ and its Competition with Netflix

Disney+ and Netflix have an unspoken rivalry over streaming platforms and audiences, but they are not necessarily competing with each other head-on than what people think. There is a competition between Netflix and Disney+, and it is with the current stats it holds and the number of subscribers it pulls to the other platform

However, this is not a full-on rivalry where users can see both companies talking trash about the other or saying that it is better than its "rival," as it does not do that. It shows a civil and good business competition to each other, and this is evident through the licensed shows from Disney to Netflix that introduced the famous Defenders of New York.

Nevertheless, the shows that Netflix initially popularized to Marvel fans and brought the "Man Without Fear" and one of the most brutal anti-heroes on-screen will soon vacate. Netflix did justice to these shows and characters, especially those that have faced a lousy film franchise in the early 2000s, down to the heroes that did not see a big screen reveal.
