Acer is changing the game for all-in-one PCs as it announces the new Aspire Z3-700, which is equipped with a built-in battery so that users can stay productive by using the computer anywhere in house or when getting work done at the local cafe.
The portable all-in-one PC is light and slim enough to throw in your bag and resembles a tablet, weighing in at 4.4 pounds and is 0.6 inches thin with a gold finish. The desktop PC has a 17.3-inch touchscreen with full HD 1920 by 1080 pixel resolution and can work with a stylus — perfect for artists, architects or graphic designers who frequently work away from the office. It also features two kickstands that allow the user to stand it up or lay it flat while working, watching or gaming on-the-go.
The Aspire Z3-700 is powered by Intel Skylate or Celeron CPU, with either an SSD or HDD, up to 8 GB of RAM and runs on Windows 10. It has the desktop features like a wireless keyboard and mouse, two USB 3.0 ports and an HDMI port and microSD slot, while being a portable option for Windows users. The Aspire Z3-700 comes with a built-in battery that will run up to five hours.
Acer's Aspire Z3-700 will retail starting for about $700 when it launches later this year.
Along with the portable desktop option, Acer also unveiled the new Aspire R14 notebook, which has a new metallic finish, diamond-cut edge design and a thinner 360-degree torque hinge that seamlessly transforms the device by displaying tablet, laptop or tent modes.
The notebook weighs in at 4.1 pounds, has a 14-inch screen, is equipped with 6th Generation Intel Core processors and offers up to 8 GB DDR3L system memory and SSD storage. The Acer Aspire R14 will retail starting at $699 and is set to launch in the U.S. later this month.
