Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare's final DLC pack is coming first to Xbox platforms next week, and with it the grand finale of the game's Exo Zombies mode.
The last chapter, titled "Descent", will see the return of Rose McGowan, John Malkovich, Bill Paxton, Jon Bernthal and Bruce Campbell as a team of former Atlas employees battling against hordes of undead. Undead who just so happen to be equipped with powerful exo-suits. According to Activision, the five heroes will finally learn the cause of the zombie outbreak that Atlas has been hiding, including a "terrible secret" the private military corporation has been hiding.
Judging from the trailer below, that secret may involve a massive, mutated zombie monster that players will no doubt have to defeat. But if you aren't planning on playing exo-zombies and would rather mow down your fellow man, the Reckoning DLC pack also includes four new multiplayer maps in the from of Fracture, Overload, Quarantine and Swarm.
Each map was created with the exo grapple-hook in mind and feature their own unique interactive elements. Fracture takes place on a giant glacier, one that begins to break apart over the course of a match. A "plasma lance" on the Overload map allows players to shoot a glowing purple cylinder to wipe out enemies who walk too close, while the center of the map Quarantine opens up to form a massive pit that players will have to avoid. Last but certainly now least is Swarm, a map that allows players to take control of a drone swarm and wreak havoc on the enemy team.
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare's Reckoning DLC pack will be available on Xbox One and Xbox 360 on Aug. 4 for $14.99. The DLC will be coming to PlayStation platforms and PC at a later date. Check out the trailer for the DLC pack below.
This is the final DLC pack for Advanced Warfare. As they say, all good things must come to an end. The good news is you won't have to too long for more futuristic warfare and zombie killing action. Call of Duty Black Ops III is coming on Nov. 6, and with it is a brand new zombie mode starring Heather Graham, Neal McDonough, Ron Perlman and Jeff Goldblum.
