Brace yourself-as Rocksteady Studios' Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is offering a massive bomb come Season 1 of its drop, promising the renowned DC Comics villain, The Joker, coming to the game. However, it would not only be a special appearance or cameo, as the famous arch-nemesis of Batman will be a playable character, helping the squad in their misfit adventure.
The Joker is Coming to Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League
The Suicide Squad Insider Episode 3 recently released by Rocksteady Studios dropped a massive bomb for what it will offer upon launch, and it is with the arrival of The Joker to the game. Its developers detailed that the game would see the famed Clown Prince of Crime bring his carnage to the game, fighting against what the Suicide Squad faces on their mission.
According to the developers, The Joker is part of the Season 1 drop of the game as a playable character in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, and this update will bring the character a month after its launch.
Season 1 is expected to arrive come March 1, but the game will drop by February 2, with gamers anticipating Mr. J needs to wait for the new content.
'OG' Version of The Joker is Dropping this Season 1
It was regarded by the developers that its version of The Joker would be based on the original roots of the character from the comics, but they did not say much about which specific version of the villain.
The Joker is the first of the various characters coming to the game, with Rocksteady promising four seasons to drop in total, with three more characters soon joining the Squad, alongside new areas, weapons, items, and more coming.
Rocksteady's Suicide Squad Game
Throughout the past months and years, Rocksteady Studios gave the world massive updates and things to expect from its renowned insider talks which detail more of the upcoming Suicide Squad game. In their previous episode, the developers talked about what to expect from the title, centering on a map that is twice the size of the Batman Arkham series, best known for being Rocksteady's work too.
Massive teasers were also revealed by the company, and it has promised gamers that this release would be a worthwhile title to experience. In an episode of the VGC Podcast, Andy Robinson claimed that the internal playtesting of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League garnered significantly positive reviews, comparing the title to Gotham Knights, and saying that the new title is "more promising."
Despite the massive delays which stemmed to more than a year, Rocksteady Studios is finally ready to bring the upcoming anti-hero experience for gamers, in the different platforms available. That being said, the company already teased what is coming for Season 1, with one of the most famous DC villains joining the mayhem, to save the world from its supposed protectors.
