In a recent announcement from its global social media account (via X), OnePlus has revealed the next-gen releases of the company, the OnePlus 12 and OnePlus 12R which will release the device this January 23, 2024.
There are various features and specs to expect from this release of the company's flagship smartphone, centering on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 as its main processor.
OnePlus 12 is the next in line from the company, and it aims to bring back wireless charging to the device, including the new camera array.
This new flagship is also set to bring an impressive display, with its OLED screen offering the brightest there in the industry.

OnePlus is also Releasing the 12R Budget Variant
In the US release of the device, OnePlus' terms and conditions talked about several giveaways for customers, talked about two devices to release, and it is with the OnePlus 12 and another smartphone. However, the second device was not revealed by the company, rather, it only called it "another new phone," and this is speculated as the OnePlus 12R which was confirmed by the company in its global post.
The OnePlus 12R is also regarded as the budget variant of the device, but it remains unknown why the company did not address it for the US release.

It is expected to use the Snapdragon 8's latest flagship release, the Gen 3, as speculated by the many reports behind the smartphone.
Moreover, there would also be a different kind of finish to feature for the device, particularly a Wood Variant, to bring a touch of 'nature' to the flagship device.
