Amazon has unveiled new features for its "Buy with Prime" service, offering additional shopping benefits to Prime members. The service allows members to shop directly from third-party merchants, free shipping, and returns.
The new features aim to enhance the holiday shopping experience, providing customers with tools to track their orders, access 24/7 live chat customer service, and facilitate easier returns.

Tracking Feature and 24/7 Live Chat
Prime members can now track their Buy with Prime orders through the Amazon website or mobile app, streamlining the process for a more organized holiday shopping experience.
This feature allows shoppers to monitor both their Amazon and off-Amazon Prime orders in one central location, simplifying the task of managing multiple purchases.
To further elevate customer support, Amazon is introducing a 24/7 live chat feature for Prime members utilizing the Buy with Prime service. This feature connects customers with trained Amazon representatives, ensuring round-the-clock, human-assisted customer service.
The live chat support is accessible directly from the order detail page, providing instant assistance to users.
Simplified Return Process
The returns process for eligible items purchased through Buy with Prime has also been made more convenient. Prime members can enjoy the hassle-free returns process they are accustomed to on Amazon for items purchased directly from brands' sites.
The return process involves an expanded network of drop-off locations, including UPS Store locations, Whole Foods Market, Amazon Fresh, and Amazon Go stores. Customers can return items without boxing them up or attaching labels, simplifying the return experience.
Authentic Reviews
In addition, customers shopping on brands' sites that offer Buy with Prime can now view authentic reviews from Amazon, featuring the well-known star rating system.
This integration of trusted reviews beyond the Amazon platform enhances the transparency and confidence of shoppers when considering purchases on external sites.
For merchants, the service provides an opportunity to acquire new customers and build brand loyalty. Initial results indicate that, on average, three out of every four Buy with Prime orders come from new shoppers.
This trend is particularly notable for certain merchants, such as HydraLyte, where nine out of every orders are from customers new to their brand, according to Amazon.
"We continue to innovate our Buy with Prime offering so that Prime members get access to an expanded selection and a convenient shopping experience, even when shopping beyond Amazon.com," Peter Larsen, Amazon vice president of Buy with Prime, said in an official announcement.
