Amazon is hosting the second Prime Day 2023 next month. As a Prime member, you need to know all the benefits you can use during the biggest shopping event.

Amazon Prime Day is running for the second time this year so expect more nice deals to come next month. As the biggest shopping haul is launching soon, you have the right to know all the benefits you can reap as a Prime member.

Same-Day Delivery: Get Your Orders Faster

If you need a product right away, Amazon Prime provides the convenience of same-day delivery for eligible items. Simply look for items marked as "Prime FREE Same-Day" during your shopping, but remember that your order should total over $35 in qualifying items to qualify for this service.

According to CNET, the same-day delivery availability varies by location, so be sure to check if your area is eligible by entering your ZIP code on Amazon's Same-Day Delivery page.

Echo Exclusive Deals: Alexa Knows Best

For Amazon Echo owners, you can ask Alexa right away about the best deals you can get. In doing so, the AI assistant will give you the Prime-exclusive deals you shouldn't miss.

Amazon Day: Pick the Perfect Delivery Date

Sometimes, it's more convenient to choose a specific delivery date to ensure someone is available to receive your packages.

Amazon Prime offers this flexibility with "Amazon Day." During checkout, just choose your desired delivery date. It does not matter if you order many items any day. If they meet the eligibility criteria, the same-day delivery will still apply.

Track Your Packages with Echo

Keep tabs on your orders effortlessly by using your Amazon Echo device. Simply say, "Alexa, where's my package?" and your Echo will provide real-time information about your delivery's status.

Once your order arrives, your Echo's ring light will flash yellow, and if you have an Echo Show, the delivery notification will display on the screen.

Grab Deals Before Others

Prime members enjoy the privilege of early access to certain deals labeled as "Prime Early Access." You get a head start, with a 30-minute advantage over non-Prime members. Keep in mind that you'll still need to act swiftly, as other Prime members are also eyeing these exclusive offers.

In-Home and In-Garage Delivery

Worried about packages being left unattended? Amazon offers in-home and in-garage delivery options. For in-home delivery, you'll need a Key-compatible smart lock and, optionally, an Amazon Cloud Cam.

The Amazon delivery person will notify you upon arrival, request access to unlock your door, and ensure the package reaches the right address. You'll receive notifications throughout the process to keep you informed.

In-garage delivery, available for a $29 garage kit, is equally secure and easy to set up, effectively eliminating porch theft concerns.

Gift Sending Made Easy: No Address Needed

Gift-giving is made easier with this and you can send gifts to other Prime subscribers. This feature could be a good surprise to your friends, family members, or co-workers. However, just make sure that the receiver has a Prime account.

Share Prime Benefits

If you share your home with another adult, whether it's a significant other or a friend, you can extend your Prime membership benefits to them.

Each of you maintains separate accounts, but both enjoy the same Prime perks. Additionally, you can share your account with up to four teens and up to four children in your household, each with their unique logins that you can manage.

For early Prime Day deals, Tom's Guide has special offers this Black Friday.
