A new set of rules is now under review for its restoration and return for the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) that will re-introduce "Net Neutrality" to the country. This is a new plan for the country's access to the internet, particularly among broadband providers to ensure that connections would remain fast, open, and fair to all users no matter what.
The Commission's head and the FCC are pushing for net neutrality that will affect services to change their way of operations, especially for providing the right internet access the public is paying for.
FCC's Net Neutrality Campaign is Looking to Restore It

The Net Neutrality campaign for its comeback more than five years since it was removed by the previous FCC administration is now here, and according to CNET the current Chairperson, Jessica Rosenworcel, recently went on a press conference that puts massive importance in this ruling.
The time is now to restore net neutrality for the United States, allowing better consideration for users to gain fair access to the internet that would protect all from throttling or blocking their connections. Rosenworcel regarded that the internet is no longer something "nice to have" in today's age, rather, a need for the public as it is widely used in various settings and industries.
ISPs Net Neutrality: What Does This Mean?
The FCC has released a fact sheet regarding its net neutrality campaign, providing insight as to how it would operate its rules once it is passed. Net Neutrality would regulate the connections in the country, affecting the likes of broadband providers including Verizon, AT&T, Comcast, and more.
It means that no paid prioritization would take effect, as well as all parts of the internet getting equal access to one's connection. The vote would take place in October that would determine in advancing the draft rules and soliciting comments.
Fair Internet Access and Connections
One of the legacies left behind by former President Barack Obama was net neutrality, in his term, he established these rules to be considered as a "public utility" that needs to be regulated by the FCC. However, last June 11, 2018, this was repealed by the then-FCC Commissioner Ajit Pai under former President Donald Trump, effectively ending the rules.
Net Neutrality means that it will be under regulation for fair internet access, connections, and services to all, something which is described as a "heavy-handed" Title II rule. Various politicians showed their support for net neutrality and campaigned for its protection, with the renowned Silicon Valley Trade group, The Internet Association, taking the fight to the FCC.
Now, a possible comeback for net neutrality is here, as rallied by FCC's current Chairwoman Jessica Rosenworcel across the country to bring back these regulatory rules among all internet service providers. While there are still oppositions here, the fight to ensure robust, fast, and fair access to broadband and the internet is strong to prevent throttling or special treatment among customers.
