The Japanese gaming company, Nintendo, is best known for being secretive about its development, but Activision Blizzard has the leaks covered in its ongoing court battle with the FTC. The games publisher has been revealed to have already seen the "new-generation" Switch, a console also known as the Nintendo Switch 2, initially only rumors in the industry.
Microsoft and Activision's court battle against the FTC is still here, centering on the antitrust claims against the software company's merger.
Activision Reveals New Details About 'Next-Generation' Switch

Redacted emails from Activision Blizzard's CEO Bobby Kotick addressed to Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa have confirmed the existence of the "NG" Switch (speculated to be the next-generation or new-generation) console. This shows that Kotick met with Furukawa where both executives discussed the new Switch console, as Nintendo was looking for experiences to expect on the upcoming handheld.

It is believed that this "NG Switch" is the Nintendo Switch 2, the highly-rumored console that Nintendo is already working on delivering soon to the public.
According to The Verge, many of the emails were redacted, but it brings enough details to confirm that a Switch 2 is already under development, with titles like the Elder Scrolls VI expected soon.

Nintendo Switch 2: What to Expect Soon?
There are still scarce details on the upcoming second generation of the Nintendo Switch console, especially as the Japanese gaming company holds out on its information.
However, one could expect that it could still feature the sliding JoyCon controllers and its LCD touchscreen, also believed to be backward compatible with the games from earlier consoles.
The Switch is still a highy-regarded console from Nintendo, with a massive fanbase and renowned titles exclusive to it or from publishers and developers coming soon.
Activision, Microsoft's Industry Leaks
It has been more than a year since Microsoft and Activision Blizzard announced their merger, with the software company based in Redmond, Washington buying the games publisher for as much as $69 billion. However, many were against this merger, as antitrust probes from different government agencies and authorities including the UK and US have stood in their way.
The massive hurdles for Microsoft and Activision were massive, especially as its rival, the Japanese multi-tech company, Sony, has also appealed this case.
One of the most significant takeaways from this case is not antitrust, but the many things leaked by Microsoft and Activision on the expected tech to come from its rivals, with Project Q, now known as the PlayStation Portal, also revealed.
Microsoft and Activision Blizzard are aware of the many developments of its rivals which it anticipates to distribute their games on, should the merger be allowed. Two handhelds were already leaked by Activision in its court filings, the first was with the PlayStation Portal, and now the next-generation Nintendo Switch 2, speculated for its 2024 release date, with future games coming.
