Microsoft has recently unveiled new shopping tools in Bing and Edge that leverage AI technology. These tools aim to enhance the online shopping experience and assist users in saving money.

According to Microsoft, these AI-powered features make it more convenient to explore, research, and complete purchases by providing valuable information from trusted sources. The newly introduced tools include the AI-powered shopping assistant, Buying Guide, Price Match, and Review Summaries.

Microsoft claims that shoppers who usually buy goods online will benefit from these AI-powered shopping tools in Bing and Edge.

To illustrate the functionality of the AI-powered Buying Guide, Microsoft provides an example scenario. Users in search of back-to-school supplies can simply enter 'college supplies' in the Bing search box, and the shopping assistant will generate a tailored buying guide.

This comprehensive guide, according to XDA Developers, includes a categorized list of items and offers specific product recommendations that may be beneficial to students. Moreover, the tool enables users to view details of multiple similar products side-by-side, simplifying the comparison process.

The Buying Guide feature is readily accessible to users in the U.S. through the Edge sidebar or Bing Chat. While its availability is gradually expanding globally, it is currently accessible through Bing.com on both desktop and mobile devices, as well as through the Bing app on smartphones. Additionally, users of the Edge browser can utilize the Buying Guide feature on their personal computers.

Easy Monitoring of Item Prices With 'Price Match'

Another notable AI-powered feature is Price Match, which is designed to monitor the price of purchased items. Should the price of an item drop, the tool assists users in requesting a price match from the retailer. US-based users will be the first to test out this feature on Edge and the Bing search engine, as per TechCrunch.

For shoppers who are saving money to buy their desired item, this particular tool will help them know if there are changes in the pricing of a product during a particular date. Having said that, you won't need to browse over other online stores just to compare the price tags of the item that you will add to your cart.

Last, but not the least, the Review Summaries feature provides users with concise summaries of product reviews. By utilizing Bing Chat, users can obtain quick insights and opinions about various products.

This feature is being introduced globally starting Thursday, June 29. Overall, Microsoft's AI-powered shopping tools in Bing and Edge aim to streamline the shopping experience, aid in price comparisons, and equip users with valuable information before making a purchase.
