Here are the general tips to use WhatsApp even more effectively than before.

How to Search For your Chat

Scrolling through your messages in a conversation can be tedious. It will take you some minutes before you see what you need to search in a convo.

To specifically search for a particular chat, you can go to the search icon if you're using the Android WhatsApp version. On iOs, you can find it on the search bar.

From here, just type any keyword that is related to a chat so you can browse over a word easily. There are a lot of options to see here including Audio and Photos.

How to Find Your Favorite Person

Your favorite person on WhatsApp is not exactly the person you most desire to be with, but it's actually someone who you talk to most.

Pocket Lint says that you can know how much storage is kept by each person and the person whom you messaged the most.

Whether you're using an Android or an iOs device, you can find the person you talked to the most by going to the Settings, then Storage and Data. Next, tap Manage Storage and from here, you can see the entirety of your contact persons who take up the most storage.

How to Save Data

If you're using Wi-Fi at home or in public places, you don't have to worry about the data since you can use WhatsApp whenever you want. However, if you're only depending on mobile data, chances are you need to limit your data usage.

In WhatsApp, you can actually customize your data allowance that can be tailored to your needs. Again, it does not matter if you're an Android or iOS user if you want to try this trick.

Just go to Settings, then Storage and Data, and click Media Auto-Download. After that, tap Switch to Wi-Fi only and it will vary on your choice for each option.

How to Customize Wallpaper For your Chats

Did you know that you can change your wallpaper for each of your chats? The two methods differ if you are using an iOS or Android device.

For iPhone or iPad users, go to Specific chat and click their name at the top. Tap Wallpaper and Sound and you should see Choose a Wallpaper. Click your desired wallpaper from the options.

If you are an Android user, just tap Specific Chat, then click Wallpaper. Simply tap Change to finalize the process.

How to Send Location to Your Friend

Facebook's Messenger is not the only messaging platform that allows you to send your current location to a contact. WhatsApp also does the same treatment via Share Live Location feature. You can share your location for 15 minutes. If you want to keep it lengthy, you can share it for an hour or even 8 hours.

iOS: Chat > Specific chat > Tap on "+" to the left of the message box > Location > Share Live Location > Select time frame.

Android: Chat > Specific chat > Tap on the paperclip to the right of the message box > Location > Share Live Location > Select time frame.

If you want your most intimate conversation more private, you can start using WhatSApp Chat Lock, as per Meta. This way, your convo can only be opened through biometric-something same like a fingerprint.
