Newegg Adds ChatGPt Integration

As per a news story by WCCFTech, the ChatGPT integration provides support for customer service, shopping content, and its PC Builder tool. Not to mention that the giant online retailer Newegg also plans to use the AI chatbot on its emails to customers, as well as search engine optimization (SEO).

Given the unprecedented popularity of the ChatGPT AI chatbot these days, various platforms have started integrating it into their services.

Microsoft has recently kicked off its Bing AI chatbot, which uses ChatGPT. And since then, it has taken the world by storm with more than 100 million daily active users.

On top of that, tech giants like Google were quick to offer an alternative. It recently introduced its AI-powered chatbot, Bard.

And this time, the online PC retailer, Newegg, is dipping its toes in AI-powered chatbot technology. The firm is now using the impressive ChatGPT model to help its customers to look for what they need for their PC project.

ChatGPT Seeks to Help Newegg Online Shoppers

The online retailer says that they are "always evaluating our e-commerce technology to ensure we're providing the best customer experience." And as such, Newegg has now "deployed ChatGPT to improve content both on-site and off-site to help customers find what they want and elevate their experience."

The PC retailer further notes that the arrival of ChatGPT in its platform does not necessarily mean that it will be letting go of its employees. Instead, Newegg states that "AI doesn't replace employees, but it adds resources so employees are available to handle more complex projects."

For now, the giant PC online retailer is still testing what the AI chatbot could bring to the table.

The PC builder, as its name suggests, helps buyers to know the components that they may need in their custom-build projects.

With the ChatGPT integration, customers now have a new "Build with AI" option. It lets users simply type a prompt to get a PC build suggestion. One of the possible prompts, according to Tom's Guide is "build me a PC for gaming with an RTX 3060."

However, the news outlet notes that the AI-powered PC builder still needs some work. It experiences some difficulties in following specific directions like budget allocation.
