Motorola Razr 2023 foldable's release date recently leaked, predicting it might be a bit earlier than the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip and Z Fold.
And now, the Chief Executive Officer of Lenovo, the parent firm of Motorola, Yuanqing Yang, has confirmed that its next-generation foldable Android device is right around the corner.

Motorola Razr 2023 Foldable is Coming Soon
Before Samsung introduced its Android flip phone, the Galaxy Z Flip, Motorola already had its fair share of flip devices decades ago.
According to CNBC, Motorola debuted its Razr way back in 2004, which ended up as one of the most iconic flip phones of its generation.
However, it is far from the clamshell foldable offering we see these days with folding touch displays. Instead, it looks similar to the phones in the 2000s era, sporting a physical keypad and non-touchscreen display.
After several years, Motorola resurrected its Razr brand in 2019, introducing one of the first foldable phones with a flexible display, which according to 9to5 Google, is months ahead before Samsung Galaxy Z Flip debuted.
Since then, the phone maker has released three generations of the Razr. However, the latest offering, which debuted last year, failed to make it to the United States. It was exclusively available in markets in Europe and Asia.
This time, the Lenovo boss, Yang, has confirmed to CNBC amid the Mobile World Congress 2023 that the next-generation Razr is seeing the light of day "very soon." He also disclosed that the reception of their Razr foldable "is good."
Early leaks previously predicted that the giant phone maker is planning to release its new Razr 2023 sometime this June. But despite that, the Lenovo CEO has yet to confirm such rumors. Instead, he only gave a vague timeline for its release, saying that it is coming "very soon."

What to Expect from the new Motorola Razr?
The arrival of the new Motorola Razr comes at a time wherein the foldable phone market is rapidly transforming into a more competitive arena.

Samsung has been working hard to improve its Galaxy Z Flip, 9to5 Google notes. Meanwhile, a new player in the field, Oppo, recently introduced the Find N2 Flip, which looks promising. OnePlus is also planning to launch its first-ever foldable device this 2023.
All that said, Motorola seems to be gearing up to fire up the competition. The Lenovo CEO says that the Razr 2023 is shaping to be "much better."
Yang further reveals that it would rock a new and improved hinge design. XDA Developers notes in its report that this might further lessen the visible crease in the folding screen.
