Google Mail has a new feature available for all, and it is to track packages straight from their inbox, without the need to go to a courier's website and enter all the information needed. However, it is not automatically showing up for some, and it proves to be a widespread problem for all that need manual enabling to use the latest feature.

Package and delivery trackers may be a hassle to use, as sometimes, users need to create an account from a website to show the status of their parcels to send out or receive.

Gmail Package and Delivery Tracker: Now Available

Google announced the package and delivery tracker feature on the Gmail app last November 2022, but some people did not automatically get the feature in their inboxes immediately. The feature was first made available via the Gmail app on the Android and iOS platforms on its initial rollout, but some were confused as to not find it available.

According to 9to5 Google, the feature is here, but it may not show up to users by default, making people confused if it is already available.

However, despite this seemingly missing feature, there is a workaround, and it requires users to fidget with it on their settings to get this tracker.

How to Enable the Gmail Feature Manually

Enabling the Gmail delivery and package tracker is quite simple, and one only needs to do it via the app on their mobile device.

For Android, go to the Menu Bar (hamburger icon) in the top right corner, and select the intended Google account you wish to enable it.

Then look for General > and scroll to "Package Tracking. It would display a notice saying "Google will share tracking numbers for your packages with shipping carriers. You'll get status updates here in Gmail."

For iOS, go to Settings and look for "Data Privacy" and enable "Package Tracking."

Gmail and its Offers

Almost everyone in the world already has a Google account and uses the Gmail platform for all their personal and business needs, may it be for the app store or work via the Google Suite. With that, there were significant improvements and updates to the app, and one of them was to refine the Gmail search feature under its Workspace Updates.

The company also focused on revamping the look and feels of the Gmail app, one that centers on a new user interface to better its look from before. However, there was no way to revert to its previous UI, despite some people preferring the old one due to several reasons, especially those who were used to navigating the old one.

Google previously announced the delivery tracking feature on Gmail, but there were several problems with its rollout, with a fix to it only available now. The only catch with the feature is that it may not be downright available for all, and users need to enable it manually before they get the tracker popping up in their inbox for their use.
