"Among Us" has a new Hide and Seek Mode, and it is releasing this December.

The developer of the pandemic-hit title, Innersloth, announced the new Dead by Daylight-like mode during The Game Award 2022.

'Among Us' Hide-n-Seek Mode

According to a recent report by The Verge, Innersloth first teased the new "Among Us" mode last year or in 2021. And finally, the new update is coming before 2022 faces its final curtain call.

The game developer took the chance during The Game Awards 2022 to announce that the new Hide n Seek mode is coming out this month. Some fans of the game might have been looking forward to it. After all, there is not much new stuff in the social deduction game.

The official Twitter account of 'Among Us' tweets that the new game mode is on its way.

"EMERGENCY MEETING. Our official Hide n Seek mode is coming out extremely soon on all platforms," the tweet says.

The post further teased what gamers could expect from these new offerings. It brings "new surprises to survive from and a bean load of new cosmetics and pets."

Not to mention that it also offers new features like "pet your pets!!," and "screaming."

According to a recent report by The Gamer, players have long been able to have pets in the game. But never was there an option to pet them. Well, what are pets for if you can not pet them?

The new update is bringing a new option that would allow 'Among Us' characters to interact with their pets.

Essentially, Innersloth is dubbing this the "biggest update this year" for the hit social deduction title. The makers of the game are surely hyping this latest release.

So in time for the holiday season, previous players of Among Us, who mostly got hooked during the peak of the pandemic, might just find a new reason to play the game again.

When is the New Mode Releasing?

The Verge notes in its report that waiting for the new Hide n Seek mode would not be long. In fact, it is seeing the shimmer of the spotlight on December 9.

Besides the new Dead by Daylight-like mode, players could start getting their hands on new features and surprises on Dec. 9.

The latest update comes a month after the virtual reality (VR) version of the pandemic-hit title debuted.

This time, new cosmetics, pets, and an additional mode is on their way to "Among Us."
