As first reported by MacRumors, the S5 chip HomePod mini will be released in countries Finland, Norway, and Sweden on Tuesday, Dec. 13. This news was confirmed through a recent Apple press release.

The same report says that the HomePod mini employs Apple's voice assistant Siri, delivers 360-degree sound, has built-in Thread support, and is compatible with the Matter smart home standard. Additionally, two speakers can be wired together to create a stereo pair. Early this year, Apple made Siri on the HomePod available in Finnish, Swedish, and Norwegian.

The HomePod mini will be selling at 1,249 Norwegian and Swedish Krone (US$114-125) and 109 euros. This more affordable version of the original HomePod will be available in white, blue, orange, yellow, and space gray.

Introducing the HomePod mini

HomePod mini is a scaled-down, less expensive variation of the original HomePod that offers comparable functions in a less costly package. HomePod Mini offers a comfortable, useful, and user-friendly smart home experience in addition to having excellent sound and Siri's intelligence to do tasks. When the device was first launched in November 2021, it came in new blue, orange, and yellow color options.

The HomePod Mini is compact. Reports tell us that it is also nearly half the size of the similarly priced and similarly spherical Amazon Echo, measuring 8.4cm tall and 9.8cm wide. In fact, it is sleeker than the new Echo Dot.

The HomePod mini can also work as a smart home speaker to help users send messages, set reminders, and read the news. Homeowners can also integrate their HomePods into their smart home systems to control other functions like their house thermostats.

It is also one of Apple's most affordable devices ever, with a launch price of £99, $99, or AU$149, which makes it even more appealing. For a price that's less than Apple's own AirPods, you get a lot of features and power from the mini.

Sophisticated Build

The HomePod mini is a very good entry-level smart speaker, according to a SoundGuys review. Anyone comfortable with using an iPhone should have no trouble configuring and managing it.

The device can also stream music and other audio files directly from services like Apple Music or from your iPhone. If you own more than one Apple HomePod, you may pair them all together for stereo playback or multi-room audio to synchronize the sound.

A superb acoustic experience is provided by HomePod mini. Apple says that the Apple S5 chip runs sophisticated software that analyzes the music in order to provide impressive sound from the compact gadget.

It also performs complex real-time changes to enhance power and dynamic range as well as control the speaker driver's and passive components' movements.

According to recent reports, the HomePod will be available in Denmark around the same time as the countries mentioned earlier.
