Tesla is debuting the Full-Self Driving (FSD) beta version 10.69 for the eligible owners and vehicles of the company, providing the latest features for the electric vehicle's autonomous driving systems. The new features include better mapping of roads, going through traffic on unprotected turns, intersection u-turns, and more.
Company CEO Elon Musk explained that this was one "tough case to solve" and congratulated the team for its development.

The Tesla FSD v10.69 is already available for the public beta testers to download, and different users who have it bring vlogs and demonstration videos regarding the new features of the version. Chuck Cook, one of the public beta users, claimed that the new features are already applicable for road use and are adequate for complex situations.
One of these situations includes crossing a road on an unprotected left turn, with the car detecting the cars on the road with its radar imaging, cameras, and other sensors for the self-driving feature.
The user demonstrated that the EV can cross-traffic situations like this, involving a median cross on a busy highway where the vehicle waited for a big gap before proceeding. Cook's video demonstrations brought different features to light, including making a u-turn while an opposing car passes by with the system proceeding after it had already passed.

Elon Musk Explains New FSD 10.69 Was a 'Tough Case'
Elon Musk replied to Cook's video about the unprotected left turn's success, citing that this was a tough case for the company's developers to solve. Musk also noted that Cook gave them the problem for the FSD, as all public beta users also come as testers who may refer the feature's challenges to Tesla.

This early version of 10.69 is being extra cautious, so waits for a moderately big gap in traffic to cross. Upcoming releases will do better in heavy traffic.
As demonstrated in the video, the tech CEO noted that the FSD would soon have a better system to cross during heavy traffic situations instead of traveling in big gaps in traffic.
Tesla and the Full-Self Driving System
Elon Musk has been talking about the latest version of the Tesla FSD for a long time, and he has highlighted the massive importance of the technology for several weeks via his tweets. However, this is also when Tesla is facing significant disputes on its systems where lawmakers investigate its features and question its safety on the roads.
The FSD sees significant changes to its systems to attain its goal of providing a safe driving experience for all, one that can go with different types of drivers and other methods.
Nevertheless, the NHTSA, among other regulatory committees, have different challenges for Tesla, especially with the legitimacy of what they claim for the public and its features.
Tesla is in deep waters regarding its autonomous systems, both the Autopilot and FSD features.
Still, Elon Musk and other beta testers talk about the system's many achievements and better features online, celebrating the arrival of the FSD v10.69, which is now available for all eligible users. The new features of the FSD 10.69 went on different testing phases, with Musk attesting that it was one tough case to solve for the company.
