According to a blog post by Reddit, a new Developer Platform is coming soon for the use of the public, and it will give creators a chance to bring new bots into the platform. The company promises that these bots coming from its new tools and platforms will focus on good bots that will help expand the user experience on the platform.
Reddit is already abundant in user-made bots that bring additional perks and help to the platform, especially for specific needs and those that would benefit the user base of the website. One example would be the u/RemindMeBot says Reddit, a service that brings a reminder for any event on the platform by sending a direct message.

What is Reddit's Developer Platform?
The new Reddit Developer Platform is a way for creators to bring new bots to the platform, something that would bring extra help and additional benefits to users on the platform. Reddit said that it is focusing on a beta testing phase for the new platform before making it available for many.
