The giant game developer said that they are already investigating the causes of the problems in PlayStation 4 and other platforms.

Because of the sudden connectivity problems, the ongoing "Call of Duty" League Championship, which is scheduled from Aug. 4 until Aug. 7, also experienced a delay of more than one hour.

But, the organizers were able to have proper preparations, allowing the annual game competition to start the second match after "CoD" servers dropped.

Revenue Loss Blamed on 'Call of Duty'?

Axios reported that Activision Blizzard's financial results showed that it experienced a drastic revenue loss this 2022.

Based on the game developer's documents, its earnings are quite lower compared to the revenue it generated back in 2021.

Now, critics are blaming "Call of Duty" for this financial decline. Activision Blizzard is divided into three companies.

These are Activision ("Call of Duty"), King ("Candy Crush"), and Blizzard ("World of Warcraft" and "Overwatch").

In the earnings report of the video game firm, most of the revenue losses came from Activision. This is because fewer gamers are playing "Call of Duty."

They also hardly spend real money on the game. Well, you can't blame them since cheaters in "Vanguard" and other "CoD" titles are still rampant.

Although this is the case, "Call of Duty" titles were still able to attract around 94 million gamers in June. But, "Candy Crush" had the highest number, with over 240 million players.

Previously, a new "Call of Duty" crossover was teased, showing that the "Terminator" will soon arrive in Verdansk.

On the other hand, the "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2" trailer revealed a new tactical co-op mode and other in-game enhancements.
